Jeffco's Pool of Bethesda Beliefs

 We believe that the scriptures were written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and are without error, and are therefore the basis of truth. “All scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work” (2Timothy 3:16-17 NASB). It is with this conviction that we as a church present the following as our Statement of Faith
There is one God and that He is completely perfect and existent in the persons of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and paid for our sins by His shed blood and death on the Cross. We believe that He rose from the dead and ascended to the right hand of the Father, and that He will return in power and glory.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and that His presence in the life of a Christian enables them to live a Godly life. We also believe that the Holy Spirit provides one or more spiritual gifts to all believers, manifesting them as He desires.

We further believe that all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to Christians today.

We believe that the Bible is Holy Spirit inspired, and that it is the authoritative Word of God and that it is forever reliable.

We believe that salvation is by grace, through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those that are saved are resurrected to eternal life and those that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the believer’s water baptism by immersion in obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ. 

We believe in the importance of a believer’s regular participation in communion.
